JDRF was founded by volunteers – parents of children with type 1 diabetes who decided that not enough was being done to find a cure. In 1982 in Australia, these parents sat around a kitchen table and vowed to increase awareness of type 1 diabetes and raise funds for research in order to create a world without type 1 diabetes – and that vision remains true for JDRF today.
Every volunteer for JDRF maintains this legacy and helps us get one step closer to that vision.
At this year’s JDRF One Walk we are seeking volunteers to assist with the following roles:
- Kids’ Activities
- Course Marshalls
- Event Set Up
- Office Support
- Media & PR
