About One Walk Wallaroo
JDRF thanks our One Walk Hosts Shana and Connor Gilfillan for hosting their second walk on the Yorke Peninsula and their first at Wallaroo.
One Walk Wallaroo will begin at 9.30am at the Wallaroo Adventure Playground (after bacon and egg sandwiches and coffee for breakfast from 8.30am). We have decided to start a little earlier as the day may get hot quickly. Walkers will cross Irwin Street and head out along the old railway tracks for 2.5kms, returning to the Walk site for a sausage sizzle kindly cooked by the Kadina Apex Club, coffee and ice-creams from Cool Cone.
The day would not be complete without children’s activities including face painting, old school games, Jumping Castles and heaps of fun in the adventure playground. There will be a raffle on the day with tickets available from Shana before and during the event, and giveaways for the kids from our special guest, Santa Claus.
Please bring picnic blankets and chairs so that you can relax and enjoy the day with us! Due to irrigation, no pegged marquees are permitted. And of course, your furry friends are welcome on a leash.
Toilet facilities available. The walk route is pram and wheelchair friendly.
