Three months ago (just before her 3rd birthday) our beautiful daughter Amelie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. What a huge shock it was for us all.
Amelie is strong and courageous, she has a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump. This is her new way of life and she is running with it.
We are walking and fundraising so hopefully Amelie sees a cure in her lifetime.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can strike at any time. It affects more than 120,000 Australian families, and 7 people are diagnosed every day.
So we are walking with the #JDRFbluearmy to raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
Please DONATE NOW and support our walk to change the lives of Australians living with T1D.
