Take on the One Walk Step Challenge

Walk 8,000 steps a day for the 8 Australians diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for the final two weeks of March (18-31 March 2025).

Anyone can join the world’s largest walk towards a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D)!

If you’re unable to make it to your local One Walk, or there isn’t one nearby, you can take on the One Walk Step Challenge!  

It’s simple: walk 8,000 steps a day for the final two weeks of March 2025 for the 8 Australians diagnosed with T1D each day – and fundraise for your special some1 while you’re at it. 

The challenge started on 1 March 2025, and goes until 31 March 2025. If you're a latecomer, no worries! Commit to walking 8,000 steps a day for the final two weeks of the month (18-31 March 2025).

You can complete the One Walk Step Challenge as an individual, family or team. You walk at your own pace and every step you take will help us turn type one into type none!

2. Fundraise

Set your fundraising goal to support life-changing T1D research. You can fundraise however you like to hit your target – check out some ideas here!

3. Walk

Take 8,000 steps a day from 18-31 March 2025 for the 8 Australians diagnosed with T1D each day.
