Steps Goal:
Help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes
So, another year and another month of walking to raise funds to help find a cure for Lucas's Type 1 Diabetes.I'm walking in March 2025 to turn type one into type none!
I'm taking 8,000 steps a day during March for the eight Australians diagnosed with type 1 diabetes every day as part of JDRF's One Walk.
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing type 1 diabetes.
As some of you are probably aware, our son Lucas was diagnosed just over four years ago and while his ongoing 24/7 monitoring and insulin injections have become a part of life, we live for the day when this currently incurable medical problem has a cure.
The great news is that that day is getting closer. We live in hope.
Certainly, the way he can monitor and maintain his insulin levels has come a very long way, even in the last ten years, and continues to improve but with the ongoing research, which needs much funding, is certainly helping to bring us closer to a resolution
It would be hugely appreciated if you could support my walk with my aim to beat my last amount raised of $2,500.
