Together We Walk for Kye, and a Future Without Type 1 Diabetes
We’re walking for my 6-year-old son, Kye, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just 14 months old. Every day, Kye faces the challenges of managing this condition — from constant blood sugar checks to making countless decisions about his care. For him, and the 8 Australians diagnosed every day, we are walking at the Busselton Jetty on Sunday, 16 March 2025, to help fund life-changing research that can improve lives and, ultimately, find a cure.
Type 1 diabetes doesn’t take a break. It’s a 24/7 battle. We’re hoping to make a difference by raising money for vital research through JDRF, so no family has to face this disease alone.
