We're walking in Melbourne to turn type one into type none!

My family and I are joining the world’s largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Princes Park on Sunday, March 2, 2025, and we need your help!
Why are we walking? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and ultimately finding a cure for T1D. Type 1 diabetes can strike any individual or family at any time—and in Australia, 8 people are diagnosed every single day. A diagnosis means entering a 24/7 battle, constantly making 180 decisions each day just to stay safe and healthy.
My family and I have been living with T1D for 14 years now, and it’s been a long, challenging journey. This diagnosis impacts the whole family, not just the diabetic! 
I would like to add that it isn't all bad. While diabetes impacts every aspect of my life, I have learned for the most part to not let it take control. I got through high school, university, and have just graduated as a registered nurse! Diabetes will not stop me from living my life to the fullest or helping others. For everyone out there dealing with a new diagnosis, either their own or a family members, you are not alone, and there is hope!
