Walking, walking, walking
Today is the first day of the 120,000 steps challenge and our little family set off this morning to complete our first steps together. Thats the thing about Type 1, while our days can be challenging and stressful - its taught us just how important it is to work together as a team.
We have managed to raise $3,700 so far and are so grateful to all our family and friends who have supported us. Please keep sharing our post, so we can continue raising awareness for Type 1 Diabetes.
Luke and Megan xx
We have always told Hamish just how much he is loved every single day but we could never have imagined the support we have received in the last 9 days from people contributing to an organisation that means so much to us.
To have so many people donating, sharing our post and messaging us words of support has been at times overwhelming.
It has truly meant the world to us.
We are so grateful - thank you.
All our love,
Luke, Megan, Hamish and Sophie xx
We are taking part in the JDRF One Walk Step Challenge to turn type one into type none!
Which means we'll be walking 120,000 steps throughout October to support the 120,000 Australians living with type 1 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can strike at any time. In Australia, 7 people are diagnosed every day.
On the 1st May last year, Hamish was one of those people. At 14 months old, this was not the life we imagined for our little boy.
We are hoping to raise funds to help research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to change the lives of all Australians living with T1D.
