I'm walking in Melbourne to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Princes Park on Sunday 2 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
My daughter was diagnosed at 18 months of age and has since proven to us what an incredible warrior she is! We completed our first One Walk last year (2023) I was 7 months pregnant and even that is nothing in comparison to the daily hurdles our girl overcomes.
We are taking part in our second One Walk this coming March 2025 (with an extra cheerleader in tow) and ask if you can dig deep to help us smash our target even further this time in the hope Miller gets to see a cure found for Type 1 Diabetes in her lifetime!
