Amelia's Walking To Raise Money For a Cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D)
Amelia's journey started in October 2024 when she was diagnosed with T1D.
Since that day, she has demonstrated a level of strength and resilience above and beyond the expectations of an 8 year old.
Our lives have now changed and we couldn't be prouder of her!
We are joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Lilydale Lake on Sunday 16 March 2025 at 11.30am.
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
