Gemma's T1D Story
I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes in February 2015, I was 10 years old. From that day on I have had to live with finger-pricking, needles, insulin pumps and CGM's as part of my daily routine.
I have taken part in the JDRF One Walk every year since 2016 helping to raise much needed funds to turn type one into type none!
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can strike at any time. It affects more than 120,000 Australian families, and 7 people are diagnosed every day.
So I am walking with the #JDRFbluearmy to raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
Please DONATE NOW and support my walk to change the lives of Australians living with T1D.

Although I don't agree with most of what Jung has to say, I think this fits: “I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”
