Community Chest
My employer Aurora Energy has a Community Chest initiative, where they will donate towards your fundraising efforts.They are going to donate $500 to my fundraising page. This means so much to me to have an employer who cares about the community and wants to support their staff.
I'm walking in Hobart to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Simmons Park on Saturday 15 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
My daughter Chloe was diagnosed on 28th Dec 2023. So, just over a year of dealing with the Highs & Lows of T1D. Chloe has shown a lot of bravery, courage, resilience and maturity. She also asks, why me, it is not fair? I hope one day I can say, it doesn't have to be you anymore!
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
