I'm walking to support JDRF find a cure for type 1 diabetes!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) to end the suffering of my daughter, Forsha and other Type 1 kids.
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
It was 2 years ago since we started our battle when Forsha was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes before she turned 7 years old. Since then, she has been enduring a childhood life with needles, finger pricks and blood sugar’s highs and lows to stay alive.
I am grateful that we are thriving through God’s grace and great support from family and friends. But I will never stop hoping and praying that one day soon, there will be a cure to end Forsha’s hardships.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone but mostly kids at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
