Wow I didn't expect to hit my first target in days. Thank you to those that have supported a cause that can hopefully one day give our girl a better life's outlook. She's a T1D warrior and I'm sure she's as thankful for your donations as much as we are.I'm walking in Yeppoon to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Yeppoon Beachfront on Sunday 16 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D. As most will know, our daughter Paige has been battling T1D since January last year. To see the battle she goes through every day for the rest of her life tugs at our hearts and if we can do our little bit to enable more research then it's the least we can do.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
