Walking for a Cure: Supporting My Son’s Journey with Type 1 Diabetes

Hello, friends and family! Im walking in the [JDRF Walk for a Cure] to raise awareness and funds for Type 1 diabetes research. As many of you know, my 9-year-old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes recently, and it’s been a challenging but inspiring journey. With every step I take, I’m walking for a future where kids like my son don’t have to worry about managing diabetes every day.

Your support can make a real difference. Whether you contribute a donation or simply spread the word, every bit helps bring us closer to finding a cure. Together, we can help make life easier for children living with Type 1 diabetes and work toward a world without it. Thank you for being a part of this journey!

I'm walking in Alice Springs to turn type one into type none!

I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the Todd River Bike Path (opposite the Todd Tavern) on Saturday 5 April 2025!

Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

Please support my walk today.
