I'm walking 120,000 steps to turn type one into type none!
Oscar has very recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He requires at least 9 needle jabs/ finger pricks a day for the rest of his life. He has also been diagnosed ASD level 2 which means it is even harder for him to deal with, however everyday he is amazing us with his courage and compliance for his medication. He keeps talking about how people are trying really hard to get rid of diabetes. I’m doing the JDRF One Walk Step Challenge to defeat T1D! That means I'll be walking 120,000 steps in October to support the 120,000 Australians living with type 1 diabetes. Why? To raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
DONATE NOW to help the #JDRFBlueArmy and change the lives of Australians living with T1D. Thank you.
