Last December Willow was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We had no idea about what was happening at the time and also had very little idea about how our lives were about to be changed but we were very fortunate to have amazing support from JDRF and all the staff at PCH, something which we will be forever grateful for! This will be our first One Walk and we are excited to get amongst the community and keep the support going for othersI'm walking in Perth to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Burswood Park on Sunday 9 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
