I'm walking 125km for a world without type 1 diabetes
I was diagnosed with type one diabetes when I was 11 years old. My world quickly turned upside down and I had no idea the road that was ahead for me. I have now had type one diabetes for 5 years and when people ask me "how do you do it? How do you get use to it? I would never be able to do what you do." I guess the answer is you don't get use to it and you don't have a choice whether to like it or not. You just learn to live with it and manage it because the alternative is much worst. I'm not alone and I dream of the day where I can say I used to have T1D. The day where I don't have to battle with the extra challenges that T1D brings, where I can just be me. I can't do it without your help, so please donate what you can because every dollar counts towards a better life for thousands of Australians. Together we can turn type one into type none!
This means I will be doing the JDRF One Walk Step Challenge to defeat T1D! I'm walking 125KM in the One Walk Step Challenge to support the more than 125,000 people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in Australia!
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy from this lifelong auto immune condition.
DONATE NOW to help the #JDRFBlueArmy and change the lives for Australians living with T1D. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
