Doing it for Estelle
Almost 2 years ago, Estelle was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes - an autoimmune disease without a cure, caused by no fault of her own, her pancreas just stopped producing insulin.
Stell has handled her diagnosis and changes in her life like a champ but even thou she has taken this all in her stride, some days are harder than others with having to constantly monitor her blood-sugar level, carefully calculating carbs & administering insulin (the pump is a godsend). There are no days off.
We are hoping next year to attend a JDRF One Walk event so Stell can walk with other T1D warriors who are also on this journey.
By donating you’ll support research for life-changing breakthroughs to make it safer and easier to live with T1D, until we can hopefully find a cure.
I'm walking in March 2025 to turn type one into type none!
I'm taking 10,000 steps a day during March for my amazing daughter Estelle & the eight Australians diagnosed with type 1 diabetes every day as part of JDRF's One Walk.
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing type 1 diabetes.
