I am fund-raising for Help the fight.

This is profile pic is from 2021, when I could walk.
I had a walking stick because I did so much hiking off trail.
Now, that same walking stick, I use around home to hobble!!!
Very fitting the joy i felt then, doing the walk and this year to 'be apart of it' is the same joy.
So,
The picture stays as I "step into the challenge" hahah.
I am T1D _ I live with an insulin pump 24 / 7 pump therapy- a game changer to my health, this year it has been a new one, so advanced technology that it is considered and registered as 'a Prosthetic Pancreas'
Ace.
Sure has changed, the treatment over the years, since 1996 at aged 11 when I was Diagnosed.
The world thought they would have a cure within 5 years.
I was also told, life expectancy was 50 - 60 years at most.
Nope.
Sadly, there still is no cure, but prevention and modern treatment!
The average life expectancy has increased to minimum 70 years!! Wooh hoo.
I invite you to support my fund raising effort.
Thank you
"Joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Princes Park on Sunday 2 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
