Tammi Gilson

I'm walking for Chelsea Gilson

My Story

We are taking part in the JDRF One Walk to raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.

My daughter Chelsea has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for about 18 months now and although she is winning at life in spite of this disease, she would rather win without it.  Together, we manage her blood sugar levels 24 hours a day, often with multiple  alarms through the night where I need to wake Chels to give her glucose tablets or juice. Its tough on a 10 year old.

Every time we go to the hospital for check-ups we hear information on the progress of research into finding a cure and we are hopeful that within Chels's lifetime a cure will be found.  But, cure's don't come cheap!

If you would like to donate, please please please do!  Every time someone donates Chels's eyes light up and she feels so grateful.

Please DONATE NOW and support my walk to change the lives of Australians living with T1D.

Thank you.
