I'm walking in Newcastle to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Thomas Holton Park Playground in Croudace Bay Park on Sunday 9 March 2025!
Why? My daughter Gabrielle was diagnosed with T1D at 4 years old. I want to fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives of those with T1D and find a cure.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 commitment with no break and an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
