Our Trooper Logan
Logan was diagnosed with T1 on the 27th of February 2016, 2 weeks before his 3rd birthday. We were moments away from losing our precious boy as he was misdiagnosed with croup but my wife Corrin (Logans mum) was convinced that something was night right and asked for a blood test which confirmed his blood sugars were through the roof and he was going through ketoacidosis or DKA. He is now 12, is on an insulin pump and manages most of his diabetes himself. We are extremely thankful that he is still with us and proud of the young man he is turning into.I'm walking in Adelaide to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Wigley Reserve on Sunday 30 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
Please support my walk today.

We are proud to support your walk for a world without type 1 diabetes, honouring our late mother, Noel, a long-time JDRF supporter, and our son and nephew Tom, who was diagnosed with T1D at 16. We're passionate about better treatments and, most of all, a cure.
