Let's Dia-Beat This!
My beautiful daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 13 years ago. I'll never forget the mad dash to the woman's and children's hospital and all the confusion and information bombing. But what stays with me everyday the look of betrayal Beth had when I helped to hold her down so the nurses could administer the insulin.I'm walking in the Riverland region to turn type one into type none!
I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Barmera Play Space on Sunday 2 March 2025!
Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
Please support my walk today.

100% let's dia -beat this with awareness and investment in research. As much as each of thirteen years has no doubt bought much frustration and many a challenge, it's been inspiring to see how treatments have changed in that decade. The agility they have morphed too gives hope to better or even a cure. Beth's a champion and so are you wonderful. Walk strong.
