I'm walking for Bryleigh williams

Why I’m walking

My daughter Bryleigh was diagnosed with T1D in January 2024. When she was admitted to hospital we received care packages from JDRF. Along with so much information, a book for Bryleigh to take to school to help educate other kids, a teddy for her to cuddle, we also get continuous support from the organisation. I really appreciate everyone’s donations to help raise money to help support other families going through new diagnoses and research.

I'm walking in Cairns to turn type one into type none!

I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Cairns Esplanade Fun Ship Playground on Sunday 23 March 2025!

Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

Please support my walk today.
