When Lightening Strikes Twice

It’s bad enough when one of your kids is diagnosed with this insidious condition. When another gets diagnosed, it is simply soul destroying. Over the last 25 years my heart has shattered a number of times. When I see what all of my children have had to endure, the true fallout of what life for a Type 1 suffer and their siblings entails, part of me really die the day it all began. With two gorgeous grandaughters already and a grandson on the way… it’s time for a cure!!!

I'm walking in the Illawarra region to turn type one into type none!

I'm joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Reddall Reserve on Sunday 16 March 2025!

Why? To help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
