I'm walking for Amelie Parker

We are walking in Adelaide to turn type one into type none!

We are joining the world's largest walk for a future without type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Wigley Reserve on Sunday 30 March 2025!

Amelie has now had type 1 for nearly 6 years. Studies have found that type 1’s make between 180-300 extra decision a day around their sugar level, food, carbs, insulin and levels. At the moment those decisions are mostly made by Liam and I and as Ammy gets older, she is getting more and more independent- we are so proud of her!

We are currently teaching Amelie that Type 1’s can do anything! We have been recently talking about different people who have type 1 - Sarah Klau (Diamonds Netballer), Zverev (tennis player) and Paddy McCartin (AFL footballer).

Lets help fund life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

Please support my walk today.
