My TEAM Blake's Hot Steppers are walking again in 2025 to turn Type 1 into Type NONE!
My Team, Blake's Hot Steppers, are joining the world's largest walk again in 2025 for a future without Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) at Burswood Park on Sunday 9 March 2025!
Type 1 diabetes can strike ANYONE AT ANY TIME, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. I was diagnosed at 8 years old with no family history of T1D and with only 5 days of displaying symptoms.
My diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and it can be really hard! People with T1D face an exhausting extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
We are walking to help fundraise money for life-changing research aimed at improving lives and curing T1D.
